Welcome to The Castro Files! In the Southwest United States there is an area of more than 25,000 miles that is extremely rugged and unforgiving known as The Nevada Triangle. Approximately 2,000 planes have gone down with many never being found over the last 60 or so years. Within this triangle boundary you will find Area 51, Las Vegas and Reno, Nevada, and Fresno, California in addition to Yosemite, Sequoia, and Kings Canyon National Parks. One of the more recent disappearances was that of Steve Fossett in 2007.
There are many theories about what is happening within the Nevada Triangle, but it doesn't change that fact that with so many lost planes and people, this is one of the strangest places in the United States.

In the episode we cover the mysterious deaths of 9 very experienced Russian hikers. This is The Dyatlov Pass Incident, and it may have finally been solved after 64 years.
In 1959 an adventurous group of students, led by Igor Dyatlov, trekked into the Ural Mountains and set up camp. Between February 1st and 2nd, something happened causing all 9 to flee their shelters, many in nothing but their undergarments. The temperatures at that time of year were -30 degrees Celsius, or -22 degrees Fahrenheit. Some of the students died from exposure and hypothermia, while others were found at the bottom of a ravine with extreme physical trauma. Many people have speculated that it could have been Russian bomb tests, a UFO, and even our favorite, a Yeti. What's your theory on this event? Welcome to The Castro Files! Latoya Ammons and her family were looking for a quiet home to live and prosper in, what they found in their home in Gary, Indiana was anything but peaceful. The paranormal activity turned into what some believe was a full-blown demon possession. This case is well documented due to the fact that Gary Police Department and the Department of Child Services witnessed many strange and sometimes terrifying occurrences that took place. The events the family faced required several church sanctioned exorcisms. The home was later bought by Zak Bagans, who later investigated the property and then tore it down. You can still see the staircase at the Zak Bagans' The Haunted Museum in Las Vegas, Nevada. Is this a case of possession or an overactive imagination? You be the judge.

Welcome to The Castro Files! This story takes place right at the time when cell phones were becoming commonplace in every household across the country, 2007. These new phones brought a lot of cool options with them beyond texting and playing rudimentary games. They also brought the ability for other people to begin following people via a connected device. One of the creepiest cases of cell phone stalking happened to the Kuykendall family by a caller aptly named "Restricted". The events that occur in this story are creepy by today's standards, but in 2007, they would have been terrifying.

Welcome to The Castro Files! The Kobe Cannibal, Issei Sagawa, has said that for as long as he could remember he had cannibalistic urges, and he still does to this day. Welcome to The Castro Files. In this episode of The Castro Files Beth dives into alien encounters and sightings by Jerry Black. Jerry started researching UFO's when he was 16 years old. Searching to answer the question, are UFO's real? Along the way Jerry debunked most reports, however, there was an event that he couldn't disprove. The encounter occurred in 1976 in Lexington, Kentucky to Louise Smith. Lousie stated that on the way home from dinner, when what they thought was an airplane hovering was something else, a UFO?
