Welcome to The Castro Files. This week we have 3 stories.
The first story takes place on Canada's Vancouver Island. Six men enter a cave for a day of exploring and only four men come out. Imagine being stuck hundreds of feet underground with water rushing in and there is no way out. This is a true story of survival.
The second story takes place in Ohio at Hocking Hills State Park. The history of Hocking Hills State Park has its own legends of accidents, death, and ghosts. If you're in the area stop in for a quick walk or even a picnic, maybe one of the ghosts of Rock House will stop by for a visit.
The third story, Bloody Mary, has been around for a long time. Where did the legend of Bloody Mary begin? There are several possibilities all with the same purported outcome, you'll either be tormented by an evil spirit or you be just fine... Many of us remember closing the bathroom door and reciting her name as a dare. Are you willing to risk it for a little fun?

Welcome to The Castro Files. This week we have 3 stories to share with you. At some point on all of our lives we've played with a common children's toy, Dolls. Dolls can be both fun and cute or terrifying and nightmarish. You decide. Sticking to the theme of kids and nightmares, The Black-eyed Children. If you've never heard the stories of the black-eyed children, it only takes a quick internet search to understand why they are so terrifying. Once invited into your home you may never get rid of them.
Doll Story 1: The Island of the Dolls - The first story is the purported haunted Island of the Dolls located just outside of Mexico City, Mexico. The previous owner, Don Julian, spent 50 years collecting and hanging dolls on the island in an effort to appease the ghost of a child that drowned in the nearby canals.
Doll Story 2: Robert the doll, currently located in Key West, Florida at a local museum, Robert is said to be the most haunted doll in the world. Accidents, injuries, and a plethora of misfortune have been attributed to Robert. The
Black-Eyed Children: If you've never heard the stories, these kids are often described as having no eyes or black holes where a person's eyes should be. They children appear in many stories across England and the United States. Are they really demons, or just a hallucination?

Welcome to The Castro Files.
This week we the three stories to share with you. It only takes a quick second to search for the Slender Man on the internet and you will know exactly who we are referencing. Halloween is the perfect time to cover a couple of unsolved murder mysteries that took place on Halloween Eve.
The first is the creepy story of the Slender Man. Slender Man was one of the first horror folklore creatures created entirely on internet.
The next two stories center around Halloween. The first is a murder mystery that is still unsolved and indirectly involves the serial killer, David Berkowitz, better known as the Son of Sam. Are these murders connected to a cult or just a strange coincidence. The final story is another unsolved murder that takes place on Halloween Eve. Friends go out to a bar looking to have a good time and one of them never returns. Could this case be related to the Smiley Face killer?

Welcome to The Castro Files. This week we have stories about two types of Cryptids. The Sykesville Monster, otherwise known as the Yucca Man, Bigfoot, Sasquatch, or the Skunk Ape. And the Wendigo, a possession of sorts that drives a person to cannibalism. Thanks for tuning into the show this week.
Story 1: Stories of the Sykesville Monster originated in the 1970's in Sykesville, MD located just outside of Balitmore, MD. There were several sightings of the Sykesville Monster of a very short period of time drawing the attention of local and state authorities.
Story 2: The Yucca Man - Located near the Joshua Tree National Park, not far from Marine Corps base 29 Palms, there are stories of the Yucca Man. A blue or sometimes red eyed seven-foot-tall, hairy creature that terrorizes people throughout Southern California. Is the Yucca Man what many of us would call Big Foot, you be the judge.
Story 3: The Wendigo is terrifying. Whether it's a possession, psychosis, or a real thing, it is real and it is documented. The Wendigo causes a person to forgo eating available food and in turn crave human flesh, cannibalism. This is a story that may turn your stomach, but it's worth the listen.

Welcome to The Castro Files. This week we have three stories to share that'll make you wonder what were people thinking. Thanks for tuning into the show this week.
Story 1: The Legend of Eunice "Goody" Cole, an accused witch from Hampton, New Hampshire who was tried on multiple occasions for witchcraft in the mid-1600's. Obviously this was not a good time for women to be accused of being a witch. Interestingly enough she lived to be 90 years old.
Story 2: The Bells Witch, a story of a family in the 1800's that was tormented by something... Was it a witch? This ghost story version of the Bell Witch tale, written by Nicole Garton, was originally published in The Tennessean on Oct. 22, 2001. We present it here for anyone looking to get spooked by a local legend.
Story 3: Be careful what you wish for. If something seems to be too good to be true, maybe it is. This story should make you wonder about that really good deal you got on a new home, or an old antique piece you just couldn't let pass.
