Beginning in 1918, the city of New Orleans was terrified that there was an Axeman roaming the streets randomly attacking people at night. Many men and women who were attacked were done so in their own homes with their own axes. The Axeman had one request, play jazz music specifically on March 19, 1919, night or else. The Housewife, the Ghost Hunter, and the Poltergeist - The Castro Files #59

Welcome back to The Castro Files. In this episode we have the story of Alma Fielding who was an interesting character of the 1930's. Alma reported that strange things were occurring at her home to include objects mysteriously flying around, eggs being thrown, wine glasses breaking, and sharp objects being thrown at head height. So much happened that newspapers caught wind and began running headlines. Was there a poltergeist in the home or was there a rational explanation? Soon after the famous ghost hunter, Nandor Fodor, would come to investigate. What Fodor found would throw all of Alma's claims into question. But, as always, you be the judge.

What Happened to Toby? - The Castro Files 57

A 16-year-old boy named Toby had several afflictions that made him different than the other kids his age. One of which was the inability to feel pain, meaning no matter what happened to Toby he would not have the same reaction as others. Along with this, Toby had some level of mental challenges more than likely stemming from an abusive father that led him to hear and see things. Was it psychosis or could Toby have actually been possessed? Did the events that occurred on the night of the fatal crash push him over the edge or was it something else? You be the judge.
